Chalet Rio is located just three miles from the Taos Ski Resort, across the
road from major hiking trails, and a short drive to Taos. Enjoy a picnic
or riverside hot tub in the summer or soak after a strenuous day of hiking
or skiing and listen to the magical, sweet song of the river cascading past
your ears. Situated on the banks of the Rio Hondo river, with easy road
access, the home is truly a retreat for all seasons.

Location:
Chalet Rio is located in a "woodsy" setting off highway 150 (the
road to Taos Ski Valley), along the Rio Hondo river which runs
through the property. (The river photo above was taken from Chalet
Rio's hot tub deck.) It's approximately three miles to Taos Ski
Valley, and 16 miles to Taos Plaza.

Views:
Located in a magnificent river setting surrounded by Alpine terrain
at 8,500 feet in elevation. You are in the mountains with a magnificent
river view!

Amenities:
Free standing wood burning fireplace, TV / VCR / DVD / direct satellite,
CD player, washer/dryer, private telephone, hot tub (on outdoor deck, riverside)!

Sleeping Accommodations:
Queen bed in master bedroom downstairs, an additional queen bed plus a
queen size futon in the upper loft (quite large, private, with sitting
area). Complete linens and pillows.

Bathrooms:
One comfortably sized bathroom with shower only (no tub) plus a second
half-bathroom (with washer and dryer).
|
|
|
|
Kitchen:
Fully equipped with gas range and oven, refrigerator, coffee maker,
microwave, toaster, blender, electric skillet, ample dishes and
cookware, garbage disposal, and dishwasher for easy clean-up.

|
Size:
1,100 rentable square feet, open, spacious floor plan. It's light and bright
with vaulted ceilings and lots of windows.

|
|
Heating:
Central gas (propane) heating controlled by thermostat. A free standing
wood burning fireplace adds charm, atmosphere and ambiance.

|
Pricing:
$185 to $375 per night, depending on time of year and length of
stay (holiday periods are slightly higher). There is a three night

Policies:
This is a non-smoking property. Maximum capacity is six guests. Pets on a
case by case basis with a security deposit and approval.
