Three miles to Taos Ski Valley, 16 miles to Taos Plaza!

Despite Chalet Rio's secluded setting, it's located only minutes
from world class skiing, hiking, horse back riding, fishing and
all the rest nature has to offer. At the same time, a short drive
puts you in the center of Taos' charm, history and culture!

To reach Chalet Rio, proceed north from the center of Taos following
State Road 3 (Taos' main street) through the outskirts of town to
the intersection with Highway 150 (look for the sign to Taos
Ski Valley). Turn right and follow Highway 150 through the charming
village of Arroyo Seco as you enjoy the gradual assent into the
tall pines. About two miles past the village you'll enter a narrow
canyon at the Highway 230 intersection sign as you continue on toward
Taos Ski Valley. Follow the Rio Hondo on your right for about four
miles to Taos East Condominiums also on the right. Immediately after
you pass the Taos East Condominiums Signs, there is a left curve and
the 11-mile marker. At the end of this curve, approximately one-tenth
mile after the mile marker, make a right turn and cross the bridge.
